Steve got up early to see the Acropolis and I slept in. Then we saw
Keramikos, this cemetary area contained two major gates to Athens and
was named after the ceramics workshops that were nearby. We saw some
pretty cool grave markers.
Here's a picture I took of a nearby church. The flowers were growing
down the middle of the Keramikos, above ditch that contained the river
as it entered the city.
Then, we went to the Ancient Agora. This was my second time.
Machelle and I hadn't missed much the first time.
That night, we took the Metro to the Evangelismos and went up
Likavittos Hill on the funicular. We saw Athens lit up. It's a huge
sprawling mess. We watched bats chase moths in the bright lights.
When the bats swooped in chasing the moths, we ducked. I saw one moth
that dodged a bat only to get caught two seconds later by another one.
