October 7th, 2002 (Monday)
We went diving in Agia Pelagia on Monday. We went from the dive shop
at the Capsis Hotel (and convention center) where Machelle got
certified. Both were boat dives. The first was about a 10 minute
ride to the site (maximum). There were about 8 of us -- Machelle, me,
Yanni (Machelle's instructor), Sarah? (a young student), Sarah's mom,
Alyssa (the dive master), and a couple from Tucson, Arizona. The
Tucson couple have a web site, www.scubavideo.biz, and they each had an
underwater video camera. I'm hoping they'll be able to send me a clip
or two. In particular, there was a cool little (very little) nook in
the rock with a red fish and some orange coral. There was also a
really cool tube worm with some long "petals" that "blew" in the
surge. And on the first dive, I was the last one through an arch and
I waved at the woman while she was filming us. (Unfortunately, I've
forgotten their names! Sorry!)
